Down the Rabbit Hole: Tracking Our Curiosity

Navigating Your Growth Through the Looking-Glass
In our corner of Wonderland, curiosity is our greatest asset. I am committed to supporting your clinical evolution as you navigate the sometimes nonsensical world of professional licensure, ensuring your hours are protected and fully recognized by the state.

Curiouser and Curiouser Learning: Alice’s journey reminds us that growth and transformation are inherent to life. As a Minnesota Board-Approved Supervisor, I provide guidance that meets the rigorous standards for LGSW, LISW, and LICSW tracks, helping you adapt and scale your skills just as Alice adapted to her surroundings.

The White Rabbit’s Watch (CEU Tracking): "I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!" We know the White Rabbit lives a life dictated by schedules and expectations. To ensure you are never "too late" for your license renewal, I act as your timekeeper. I provide all supervisees with a custom CEU Tracker and direct support in documenting your professional development—tracking credits from my live webinars and any outside requirements you encounter.

Not a supervisee but ready to align your metrics with intention? You don't have to navigate the maze alone. While subscription-based professional tracking apps easily cost $40 to $60 annually—and standalone, compliance-vetted trackers carry a true market value of $15.00—you can head over to the Shop the Constellation Store right now and grab The North Star CEU Journal for a limited-time launch price of just $9.99.Generic Trackers (The Under $10 Market)

Etsy sells basic CEU spreadsheets for $3.50–$8. They’re simple ledgers: no state-specific rules, no category tracking, no alerts for overlogged independent hours — users must do the math and compliance checks themselves. Advanced, state-specific templates sell for $12–$20 because board mistakes risk audits. Get automated, Minnesota BOSW–compliant tracking at a fraction of those costs. Organize your professional records and join practitioners tracking with purpose.

A World of Integrated Discovery: I am a Minnesota Board-Approved CE Provider. The live trainings and webinars hosted through me are pre-verified for credit. You won't just learn; you'll earn the board-approved hours necessary for your renewal—at no additional cost to you as part of our individual supervision, supervision group or hybrid.

Your Moral Compass & North Star: Compliance is your moral compass in a landscape of risk. Every hour we spend together is documented according to MN Board of Social Work standards for supervsion and your CEU tracking should be no different, ensuring your path is clear and your documentation is solid when it comes time for your audit.

Keeping Time: Your MN BOSW Requirements for CEU

Don't let the clock run out! Here is a summary of the biennial requirements for Minnesota social workers:

  • Total Hours: 40 clock hours every two-year renewal term for all license levels (LSW, LGSW, LISW, LICSW).

  • Ethics: At least 2 hours must be dedicated to social work ethics.

  • Cultural Responsiveness: At least 4 hours must focus on cultural responsiveness.

  • Clinical Content (LICSW Only): At least 12 hours must specifically cover clinical content.

  • Supervision Content (Supervisors Only): If you provide licensing supervision, 6 hours must be in supervision content.

  • Live vs. Independent: At least 20 hours must be interactive, like my live webinars. Alice knows that "the best way to explain it is to do it"—interactive learning is key.

"I don't see how he can ever finish, if he doesn't begin(but she waited patiently)". - Alice in Wonderland

Charting Your Flight Path: Why Tracking Your CEUs Is Not Optional 🪐

Whether you choose to navigate your professional journey using our custom Constellation CEU Tracker, lean on the premium NASW National CE Tracker platform, or meticulously build a system entirely your own—the mandate remains identical. You must track your cosmic clinical hours.

In our shared workspace, administrative accountability isn't just an arbitrary compliance checkbox or an afterthought to tackle right before your state board deadline. It is an intentional, foundational rhythm of your practice.

Consider this your loving heads-up: maintaining an active, accurate log is a completely non-negotiable part of our supervision container.

We are going to bake this checking-in habit directly into our regular supervision sessions until it becomes second nature to your nervous system.

By building this muscle right now, you ensure your clinical trajectory stays grounded, organized, and structurally safe from a chaotic compliance storm.

Pick your weapon of choice, open up your dashboard, and let’s start mapping out your hours.

In the vast landscape of social work, continuing education isn’t just a checklist—it’s a way to recalibrate your internal compass and add new depth to your clinical wisdom. Whether you are fulfilling your biennial 40-hour requirement or seeking to illuminate new areas of practice, these curated paths help you stay grounded while you grow.

Honoring the Ethics of Self-Care: Fulfill your mandatory 2 hours of ethics with a focus on sustainable practice. We highly recommend Dr. Frederic Reamer’s deep dives into compelling ethical challenges, which help practitioners skillfully manage boundary issues and dual relationships.

Cultural Responsiveness & Humility: Meet your 4-hour requirement through activities that deepen your understanding of social diversity and oppression. Look for workshops that move beyond the surface, emphasizing cultural humility as central to effective, attuned practice.

Deepening Your Clinical Lens: For LICSW applicants or those maintaining their license, explore clinical knowledge areas like differential diagnosis and biopsychosocial assessment. The University of Minnesota offers advanced practice certificates in areas such as Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care to elevate your skill set.

Supervision Mastery: If you are a board-certified supervisor or pursuing certification like my own Join The Constellation Supervision, you must complete 6 hours of supervision training every cycle. This is your space to refine your personal style and lead with empathy.
