In nature, lotus plants and koi fish create a perfectly balanced ecosystem. For survivors of domestic violence, this relationship serves as a powerful blueprint for rising above trauma, reclaiming individual power, and finding collective safety.

  • Shield & Sanctuary: Massive lotus leaves rise above the surface to shield the waters below. They provide vital shade, cooling the environment and protecting the koi from hidden predators.

  • Boundaries for Growth: Covered in tiny protective spines, the sturdy lotus stems safely coexist with the fish. They teach us that strong, resilient boundaries allow both the individual and the community to thrive side by side without causing harm.
