The mission
My journey into social work was born from lived experience. This personal 'North Star' ignited a flame within me to turn deep, personal insight into action.
Join The Constellation bridges lived experience and professional expertise to elevate mental health care in Minnesota. Think of this space as a guiding light—a warm, glowing environment designed to help you melt away burnout and refuel your inner spark. Here, self-care isn't just an idea; it is an active practice that fills the room.
Whether I am training, supervising, or providing therapy, my core mission is to bring deep value, safety, and attunement to those I serve:
CEU Workshop and Retreat: Shedding light on complex truths by empowering practitioners with vital education on domestic violence.
Clinical Supervision: Providing a warm, authentic community where therapists can safely grow and find their unique clinical voice.
Shop The Constellation: Featuring dedicated wellness resources, including five self-care books I authored that double as practical clinical therapy tools.
FLIRT Advocacy Shop: Offering carefully curated self-care items that raise crucial awareness for domestic violence, with a portion of all proceeds directly supporting Domestic Abuse Project (DAP) in Minneapolis, MN.
My Safe Space: An upcoming YouTube talk series dedicated to platforming global leaders in domestic violence advocacy. We invite these crucial changemakers to share their unique voices and powerful work, ending each conversation with a gentle look at how they navigate burnout and sustain their flame.
My roots
My social work roots were forged at St. Catherine University in Saint Paul MN where I earned my BSW and later my MSW. During this time I founded a student run organization for domestic violence and had internships at Tubman and MN Prison Doula Project. I later gained experience that was specialized in the world of Multi-Systemic Family Therapy (MST) and school-based therapy. Working within the orbit of the probation & justice systems, school systems and in home provided me with a grounded presence for families.
As an LICSW, I view everyone as the ultimate expert of their own lived experience. My role as a therapist and supervisor is to function as a guide and a source of support. My clinical practice is collaborative, trauma-informed, and deeply client-centered. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills with mindfulness and solution-focused tools to help individuals navigate complex life challenges.
I especially enjoy providing parenting support aimed at transforming power struggles through a relational therapy lens, as well as helping people navigate ADHD, life transitions, and grief. As a lifelong learner of the mind-body connection, I love sharing that passion with others and get truly excited to teach clients and trainees about mindfulness, neuroplasticity, and the fascinating role of the gut-brain axis in mental health.
My background includes extensive experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, working smoothly alongside teams of people from diverse backgrounds and professional roles. Viewing wellness through a holistic health lens, I place a massive emphasis on self-care as a foundational tool for lasting healing. I honor the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster true, authentic growth for every client and supervisee.
